Nicola Mendelsohn leads influential tech panel at Norwood Business Breakfast 9 March 2018 Fundraising Nicola Mendelsohn led a panel of executives from four of the world’s most recognisable brands – Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter and Google – in a discussion on the role technology platforms play in shaping media and society at Norwood’s latest Business Breakfast event. Breakfast with the Media Disruptors, held at the Bloomsbury Ballroom in Holborn on Tuesday, 6 March, was attended by 230 guests and raised more than £100,000 for Norwood’s services. Nicola Mendelsohn CBE, Vice President of EMEA for Facebook; Chris Thorogood, Head of Partnerships at Google UK; Bruce Daisley, Vice President, Europe for Twitter and Claire Valoti, General Manager Northern Europe for Snapchat discussed a variety of topics, with guests gaining valuable insight into how consumers drive change in both business and the media. The wide-ranging discussion also included insight on the role that social media has played in the rise of populism, how best to harness online platforms for marketing and sales purposes and ways for both businesses and individuals to embrace the many changes driven by technology today. Norwood’s Business Breakfast is just one of a full calendar of corporate events the charity runs every year.
