Job Description

1. To provide Reception services and generic administrative support to the Support Services team

2. To provide temporary cover for planned and unplanned absences of administrators, which may involve work away from the Reception desk

3. To be the first point of contact for visitors, and professionally handle internal and external telephone referrals and enquiries. To assess the nature and urgency of the call and forward appropriately or record key information for callbacks.

4. To coordinate the booking of meeting rooms on Outlook and ensure that equipment needs are met.

5. To be responsible for the incoming and outgoing mail and parcel distribution service, which involves working with learning disabled adults.

6. To ensure the accurate typing up of minutes, documents, reports, letters and updating of databases where appropriate, and maintenance of efficient and effective filing systems.

7. To accurately input routine data for reporting and management information purposes.

8. To order and maintain stocks of specific departmental supplies, including stationery and cleaning goods.

9. To attend all necessary training in relation to the role as required

Who Norwood Supports



Experience of working in an Reception/Admin support role.


Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities.




Educated to GCSE level standard (or equivalent) or above.


Knowledge & Skills

Excellent IT skills and knowledge (Word, Excel, Power Point, outlook).

Excellent telephone skills/technique.
