Job Description

Provide the primary design function for the organisation including fundraising, services and workforce by leading on concepts, design and execute creative solutions that consistently and clearly communicate Norwood's brand identity, positioning and messaging through all brand touch points (including print, website, email, social media, retail, events, all marketing collateral, internal marketing etc.). Work to a brief agreed with the client and marketing manager and develop creative ideas and concepts.


1. Lead on the design and production of marketing materials (print and digital) for a wide variety of clients, and see all projects through from concept, design, production, completion and delivery.

2. Supervise, oversee, mentor and coach other graphic designer

3. Develop creative design ideas and concepts, choosing the appropriate medium and style to meet project briefs and objectives.

4. Lead on maintaining, strengthening and reinforcing the Norwood brand throughout all materials - addressing incorrect applications of the brand as required.

5. Assist the department with proofreading of marketing publications in print and electronic media.

6. Work closely with the Communications Manager to ensure effective collaboration between the designers and the copywriters and production of innovative creative concepts.

7. Maintain and update Norwood signage and display materials. Procure promotional materials and monitor stock and stationery.

8. Partner with internal clients as needed on the development of marketing materials.

9. Ensure all creative solutions can be translated across various media platforms, i.e, Website, email, social media, etc..

10. Work closely with the marketing manager to keep all projects on track and to create accurate price estimates while delivering solutions within budget.

Key accountabilities

o Ensure all materials are created with sensitivity to the people we support.

o Work with internal and external clients to ensure that all communications adhere to the brand guidelines.

o Oversee production of all print materials from conception to completion.

o Be the main point of contact for the development of creative solutions.

o Maintain pre and post production quality checks on all marketing materials.

o Deliver marketing materials within the agreed upon budget and timeline.

o Liaise with external printers and suppliers on a regular basis, ensuring production deadlines are met and materials are always of the highest quality.

o Creatively seek out new products and maintain cutting edge industry knowledge.

o Present design work at various stages to stakeholders for review and final approval.

o With the marketing manager, provide accurate price quotes to meet budgets.

Who Norwood Supports



o Qualified Senior Graphic Designer or has had experience working within a design environment at a senior level.


o Proven experience in a similar position or looking for a step up.




o Graphic Design degree or another relevant qualification.


o Design or other relevant degree.
